Have questions about how Organized Collective works? Here are answers to some of the things we’re asked most often.
Please reach out to hello@organizedcollectivemn.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Organized Collective is a professional project management service that coordinates the people, projects, and details needed to prepare a home for a smooth, successful transition.
We saw how often homeowners and families need help getting a home ready for its next chapter, but don’t necessarily need or want to manage all the details themselves.
There can be dozens of decisions, vendors, appointments, and moving pieces. Organized Collective was created to be the person in the middle, helping determine what needs to happen, coordinating the right people, and creating a clear path forward.
Every project is different, so we tailor our involvement to what you need.
Hands-On Support
When appropriate, we can roll up our sleeves and help with:
Project Coordination
For larger or more complex projects, we can manage the details and keep things moving by:
Projects we coordinate may include cleanouts, deep cleaning, painting, flooring, minor repairs, landscaping, specialized services, staging preparation and other home-preparation needs.
Our role is to provide hands-on home transition support and project coordination. We are not a general contractor and do not perform licensed trade work or take on major construction or full-scale remodeling projects.
When a project requires specialized expertise, such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing or other skilled services, we help connect you with and coordinate the appropriate professionals.
You contract directly with and pay those service providers for their work. Vendor costs are separate from Organized Collective's fees. Each vendor remains responsible for their own services, pricing, licensing, insurance and warranties.
Think of us as the person helping bring all the pieces together, while the right professionals handle the specialized work.
No. Organized Collective is a project management and home transition service, not a general contractor or construction company. We do not perform licensed trade work or take on major construction or full-scale remodeling projects.
When outside professionals are involved, they remain independent businesses responsible for their own work, pricing, licensing, insurance and warranties.
Home organization can absolutely be part of what we do, but our services go beyond traditional organizing. We combine hands-on support with project management and coordination to help manage the bigger picture of a home transition.
We may work alongside you to declutter, organize, sort or prepare for a move. Or we can coordinate vendors, appointments and home projects on your behalf. Often, it’s a combination of both.
Our goal is to provide the right level of support to get your home ready for its next chapter.
We help with the many details involved in preparing, organizing and transitioning a home. That might mean getting a home ready to sell, downsizing, coordinating a move, settling into a new home, or tackling an overwhelming space to make it feel more manageable and enjoyable.
Some projects are hands-on, while others involve coordinating the right professionals to get the job done. Our goal is to create a clear plan and take the details off your plate, so you can move forward with less stress and more confidence.
Yes. We offer a complimentary initial phone consultation to learn more about your needs, answer questions, explain how our services work and discuss potential next steps.
If an in-home walkthrough or more detailed project planning is needed, we’ll explain what that involves and any associated fees before moving forward.
It depends on the work. We provide hands-on help with things like organizing, decluttering, sorting, packing, unpacking and preparing items for donation, removal, sale, or a move.
For specialized or licensed work, such as electrical, plumbing, painting, flooring or repairs, we coordinate the appropriate professionals rather than performing that work ourselves.
No. We have a network of trusted vendors we regularly work with, but you are welcome to use vendors you already know and trust.
Clients contract directly with and pay vendors for their services. Vendor costs are separate from Organized Collective's fees.
Our fees depend on the type of support you need and the scope and complexity of your project.
Some services have a set fee, while hands-on support and project coordination may be billed based on the time required. We’ll discuss pricing and provide clear expectations before work begins.
Absolutely. While preparing a home for sale is one reason clients engage us, selling is not required. We can also help with downsizing, moving, settling into a new home, reorganizing a space, estate transitions or simply tackling a home project that has become difficult to manage.
As involved as you want to be. Some clients want help creating a plan and then prefer to take it from there. Others want us to manage the day-to-day details and keep the entire project moving.
We tailor our level of involvement to what will be most helpful to you.
Organized Collective was born from needs we repeatedly saw through our real estate work, but it is a separate service designed to support homeowners through a much broader range of home transitions.
Anyone facing a home transition or project and thinking, “Where do I even start?”
We bring organization, coordination and calm to the process so you can move forward with a clear plan and the right level of support.
